Title ||Titre Delivering Health Care Training: Opportunities and Challenges
Description || Description

de Souza Institute offers standardized and competency-based training in cancer and palliative care to health care professionals across Canada. This session will demonstrate how we deliver online courses in two different formats: an educator-led semestered approach or self-directed just in time design.

We will demonstrate our use of Moodle and it's web services to develop 1) a custom-tailored information system with automatic grading, enrollment, grouping and tracking features to support the standardization of chemotherapy competency training, and 2) courses that learners can start at any time, with automatic grading setup using the Moodle Web API.

Outcomes || Objectifs

1. Challenges and our solutions to delivering continuing education for health care professionals using Moodle

2. How Moodle's Web services API can be leveraged to save administration time
